KUALA LUMPUR, 2 Julai (Hrkh)- Firdaus Jaafar (PAS-Jerai) mengharapkan Kementerian Belia dan Sukan dapat mengkaji semula jadual perlawanan Liga Super dan Liga Malaysia.
Sewaktu membahaskan usul kajian separuh penggal Rancangan Malaysia ke-9 di Dewan Rakyat semalam, beliau menyentuh jadual padat perlawanan yang menjadi salah satu faktor merosotnya mutu permainan pasukan bola sepak tempatan.

PETALING JAYA: Poor planning of the Malaysian Super League schedules has resulted in the prestigious Malaysia Cup tournament taking a back seat this season.
There is no doubt most of the teams have been affected by the hectic schedule, which resulted in sub-standard performances and empty stadiums.
The FA of Malaysia (FAM) will have to take the rap for holding the Malaysia Cup (June 11-Aug 23) during the Euro 2008 (June 7-30) and the Olympics (Aug 8-24). The two international events will surely take centre stage over the local fare.

KELAB Peminat Bola Sepak Perak (KPBP) terkejut dengan pendedahan bahawa Persatuan Bola Sepak Perak (Pafa) kini menghadapi masalah kewangan meruncing hingga tidak mampu membayar gaji pemain Seladang.
Ini kerana setahu Presidennya, Abdul Jamil Othman, selama ini Pafa mempunyai kedudukan kewangan kukuh dan sehubungan itu tidak sepatutnya timbul sebarang masalah.
“Apa yang saya tahu, Pafa ada banyak duit selama ini. Bagaimana pula boleh terjadi begini,” katanya kepada Arena Metro.

IPOH - Para pemain Liga Super Perak perlu menunggu sepuluh hari lagi sebelum menerima tunggakan gaji yang didakwa sudah tiga bulan tidak dibayar.
Pemangku Presiden Persatuan Bola Sepak Perak (PAFA), Datuk Muhammad Muhiyuddin Abdullah memberitahu, kemungkinan gaji para pemain akan dibayar pada awal bulan depan.
Begitupun beliau tidak menyatakan jumlah gaji yang akan dibayar kepada pemain.

WITH Perak's interests in the Malaysia Games’ football calendar having ended at the quarterfinal stage and the national team back from the friendly in Indonesia, Steve Darby is anxious to whip the Seladang into shape before they open their Malaysia Cup campaign against Perlis on June 11.
Having registered a small squad this season, Darby took the opportunity to give a few key players the much-needed rest before the kick-off during the long-break.
Two players – striker Khalid Jamlus and defender Chan Wing Hoong – both have had minor operations.
Darby also has another concern - the Malaysia Cup fixtures.
